It's been a long winter. We had a lot of snow that came earlier and stayed longer than usual, and while it's now gone it has made way for strong winds and they are here to stay until it's unbearably hot and we would want some wind - that's when it will stop. Maybe that's why I really like being inside and knitting 😂
Anyway - the long winter had me craving bright and happy yarn and I found some at Tanis Fibre Arts. I love ordering yarn from Canadian dyers, and Tanis has the best colours! I ordered Speckled Trinity in DK weight and found the perfect plain sweater pattern to really let the yarn shine. From winding to knitting, the yarn is a delight!

It's the second pattern from Petite Knit I have knit {I also knit the November Vest last year} and the patterns are very well written and easy to follow. I also ordered some silicone cords from The Knitting Barber recently and used them to put the sleeve stitches on hold and to extend the circular needles for fit checks, and I love those cords! They are the best thing since circular needles! What a time to be alive and knitting.

I also ordered no-rinse wool wash from Pip and Pin that came in just in time for this beauty to take a bath in before blocking and it's awesome! It took just over a week to knit and a day and a half to block and dry, and I'm ready to get lots of wear out of it this Spring!
